>>11996713>point to us to the western philosophy that is for independenceIs this an earnest question or are you shitpost
>point to us how that independence leads to distrust of the motives of othersBelieving that you can have your cake and eat it too is a juvenile fantasy for people who ironically cannot handle the fact that actions have consequences.
>point to us the philosophy that says man cannot be trustedThis is broader than my actual statement by multiple degrees of magnitude.
Trusting a particular and very specific person with your heart while desiring for that to be a reciprocal, dignified, and authentic relationship is looked down upon in the west.
It's because while we fight social darwinism for almost everything else we've let it take complete hold of relationships and begun to see it as something you can "win". And the people who win in dependent power dynamics are people who don't care about other people, so they became the "winners", and people started to emulate the "winners" and their behavior. Devaluing attachment over time.
So the west has plenty of people willing to feed a starving person and sees it as a virtue, but has nobody willing to provide a (nonplatonic)love-starved person what they'd need and actively looks down upon a person starved of it.
