Apparently one of the chink managers may have tried to pull this stunt and lied to the girls, which is why Artia and Civia were acting pretty positive and full of hope before anything was confirmed. There was a pretty heartbreaking sream later where they had the news that things were still being talked through but wasn't looking nice for them, and they had a complete 180º in mood, where Artia just said she didn't know who to trust anymore and plead her community to just stop causing problems, right before going full desperate breakdown in twitter and feeling like she just embarrased herself.

People hate on Artia for being a "traitor" because they took the chinks propaganda against Coco at face value, but I have hard time believing it given she was the most westernized of the branch (streamed a lot in english on twitch)

Artia is planning to debut with a redesign of her previous identity before joining Hololive by the way. If anyone is interested she's Hecatiaz on twitch, but no idea when she'll become active.
Also the one I really miss is Echo, she was funny and had a top tier design, and stayed silent through the entire drama just like Yogiri. She may have been the most forgettable of the CN branch: nobody ever talks about Echo.
