>>12095260Which, I suppose, is what I'm trying to get at. Are their community ideas respected by default because of what they do, or are those ideas in themselves worthy of respect? I get that the former is a bad idea, but to assume that the former is all that is... not a good look.
This is kind of why going on a crusade against people "acting like some sort of spokesman" is kind of a "what for?" thing to me.
>It's not until the shit they do actually creates huge damage to the chuuba and everyone finally realises the pieces of shit they are.Well, duh? Obviously they're not shit unless their actions (or inaction, in some cases) cause bad shit to happen.
I'm not fully sure why this of all things caught my interest. Now, in the interest of actually staying on topic...
>>12094486>getting these so-called quality translators to do a better job at competing... is actually one means to go at it. Little wonder some groups have been... rather aggressive at recruiting hopefuls.
I so happen to be one of those aggresively recruited. The main issue I have is, again, YouTube algorithm (like pretty much every algorithm optimized for ad revenue) rewards clickbait due to human nature, and certain sorts of clickbait fall squarely outsde of "ethical". This creates a bit of a self-perpetuating problem, where slower, more quality-based clippers struggle to incline and be recommended, which leads to them not being incentivized into doing more, which forces their viewers to go back to shitty channels for more of their favorite chuuba(s), which strengthens their recommendations while choking out other clippers and so on.
Granted, complaining about this is a bit on the level of "what can we do but adapt to this", but still.
