She doesn't need to do shit. She makes the most in SCs in the whole branch and her music, the thing she really cares about, gets millions of views. Stream viewership is just pocket change for her. I'm sure she does want to continually improve her streaming but it's not an urgent situation by any means and is something she can do at her own pace over time.

PekoMiko goes really back even before they both were in hololive, and a lot of hololive fans got introduced to hololive by either Peko, Miko or PekoMiko.
Them not interacting hurts so many fans, so seeing them interacting again makes their fans really happy.
Whether you like it or not, they are the ultimate hololive duo, people won't tune in to some for forced pairing like TakaMori if PekoMiko reunion is happening at the same time.
