Aka, it's something you're taught for years until high school or so, then you basically forget it all because you never actually use it in your day to day life.

I watched that stream awhile back and I thought that had more to do with her generally gloomy attitude towards things making her think she was doing too bad of a job at saying the words that she just outright gave up eventually (plus that game also had pretty dodgy English in general). I had a pretty positive outlook on her, though. Her pronunciation wasn't perfect, but she surprised me with how well she pronounced some English words. She probably didn't think she was that good at English, but she had a lot of potential, more than she probably realized from looking at it from a secondary language window. Confidence really does go a long way.
