It is a Japanese social stigma more than anything, one that is more about the idol girls than it is about male coworkers, which is why Oga says he thinks it is OK for the girls to not talk to them. He is more worried about the girls being harmed than about the guys getting ignored, which I kind of get.
In all fairness, I do not think there is a single person in Holopro that actually enjoys that this is how things are, and I bet that the other girls look up at the likes of Choco, Matsuri and Fubuki on this regard, but they cannot actually say it in public out of fear of backlash, but I bet that they have told them privately more than once. It takes a lot of bravery and guts to be like them and defy both social standards and rabid fans the way they do and it is understandable why others are not doing it. Subaru to a good degree too - she may not talk to Holostars per se, but she does to Nijisanji guys, and what backlash she got for it did nothing to shatter her or even prevent her from doing it again, so props to her too. And then Coco of course for what was mentioned on the video.
Indeed, we can safely assume that there are many JP Hololive girls who fully support the existence of Holostars and other male Vtubers, but simply do not have the courage to take the leap that is doing so on a public manner. Maybe one day, you know.
