For newfriends and fa/tg/uys: this is a Chronicles of Darkness (CofD) homebrew being played by the fabulous ladies of Hololive English, running under the Hunter: the Vigil module. As most of the players are new to the world of tabletop RPGs, this campaign is being played as more of learning experience, with fun and entertainment the primary goals.

as THE STORYTELLER.
Everyone's beloved, buxom, pink-haired, adorably awkward rappin' reaper. A solid journeyman in playing tabletop, she is the acting GM and organizer of this campaign.

as TIARA
An explosively extroverted phoenix and savvy owner of the moderately popular fast food franchise, Kiara Fried Phoenix (KFP). Her experience in TTRPGs is limited to a small amount of DnD played as a child. Her character is Tiara, a nobly born foreigner with a talent for handguns and communicating with birbs, particularly her pet owl, Uhu.

A soft-spoken, sweet-natured priestess of the Deep Ones, also a talented artist whose character renditions has fueled the flood of Huntermyth fanart. A newbie in the realm of TTRPGs. Her character is Yuul B. Alwright, a sleep-deprived college grad student with a talent for academics, crafts, and vehicular homicide.

as WATOTO
An animal-loving time traveler and detective with a rough-and-tumble approach to life. Yet another newcomer to the realm of TTRPGs. Her character is Watoto, a paranoid, conspiratorial dealer of herbal concoctions and drugs who holds his own with rough street charisma and his fists.

as SCOUT
An infectiously amiable shark, long-time resident of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. She is also new to TTRPGs, but don't let that fool you, her roleplay and improv performance so far has been nothing less than masterful. After going through multiple drafts and iterations, she has settled upon the party's final character: an illiterate, tough-as-nails country blacksmith named Scout, a melee and survival powerhouse.

Link any pertinent Huntermyth-related questions here so they can be easily answered.

This idea picked up some interest in a previous thread (and elsewhere), but how would you anons like to see the party do an hour-long debrief stream? Just a short, laid back intermission session where the party returns to HQ and comes to grips with what the hell they just went through. Amidst spending their experience for the viewers to see (and maybe elaborating on the justification), Yuul could put her mental skills to work doing some research, Watoto could cultivate some helpful greenery, and Tiara and Scout could shop around for a replacement company car or something. i think a mini-session like this would work wonders; the girls could just shoot the shit, chat OOC more than usual, ask questions if needed, answer any from chat, and complete their pre-mission prepwork without having to try and rush it all in another 3-4 hour stream. Also Calli wouldn't have to mega-prep for it, as it would be pretty laid back.

So far, who else in the Holo / vtuber community would be a good fit for Mythbreakers, should positions open up? So far the following have expressed interest in TTRPG, if not Huntermyth specifically:

I will also be linking other vtuber-themed TTRPGs in this thread as well. Should the concept bear fruit, I will most likely take to renaming the general to something more apt like Vtuber Tabletop General /VTTT/ or Vtuber RPG General /VTRPG/. Still playing with the names, though I will always make sure to include Huntermyth / Mythbreakers in the title since that's what we're here for in the first place.

How would everyone judge Calli's DM'ing so far? Too harsh? Too lenient? I do wish she would get a good night's sleep before sessions so we can avoid the DM-brain moments.

Most important question of all, what happened to Chad? If Calli killed him off, I'm gonna hunt her down.

So I made this for the /tg/ thread, it's how you'd make Gura's original character in CofD. The shadow mailwoman thing. It's in Deviant the Renegades (which is probably the best CofD game) as that is build for these strange and unique sorts of things. I'm going to remake it as a sensible character, as this sheet includes a lot of the original jank. Probably tomorrow for that though. When I post it might might include a deep dive into everything on the sheet to explain how it all works.

That said if anybody has questions about the sheet, like any questions at all, I'm totally happy to explain how any parts of it work.

I did hear this campaign was a bit of a shitfest. Basically Arcadum treating a bunch of noobs with veteran gloves and killing Nyanners right out of the gate or something. I'll probably post up a summary of it when I get to watching it.

I've been doing a text summary of each session so I can refresh myself before watching the next one, here's session 5. Hopefully I got everything right.

Session 5
>The group notices there are ghostly figures coming out from the portals within the castle
>Watoto touches a ghost and it tries to pull on him, Scout notices that it's trying to pull him into the water below
>He struggles away before it pulls him into the white milky-looking water
>Going towards the front door, Tiara manages to speak to one of the spectres and determines that the ferris wheel is the source of the ghost portals
>At the ferris wheel they see a large, mean looking ghost operating the ride and plan to create a vacuum to deal with him
>Watoto picks a lock to a janitor's closet and Scout begins to assemble a vacuum with parts they found, but someone is heard approaching the closet
>The operator stands in the doorway unamused, but Scout turns on the vacuum as she finishes, to no effect, realizing it's unplugged
>Watoto quickly plugs it in and it begins to suck, but it's not powerful enough
>Yuul gets behind the ghost and kicks, while Watoto fires a blow dart at him, but the attacks right through him and Yuul gets a blowdart in the shoulder, falling asleep immediately
>The ghost welcomes them to the ferris wheel and convinces Tiara to get on the very spooky ride, but Watoto and Scout pull her back
>It tries again to manipulate them into getting on, but fails and returns to the controls
>Watoto finds the gearbox for the ferris wheel and inserts a metal fortified broomstick into it, stopping the wheel
>While the operator goes to investigate, Scout reverses the ferris wheel and breaks off the control lever, closing the creepy eye on it
>The group notice that the speed at which the grounds are going down this river is slowing down considerably
>Entering the hall of mirrors, Tiara immediately begins smashing mirrors, finding more mirrors behind them
>Yuul notices one reflection of hers that moves differently from the others, and Scout proposes to shine the flashlight to see what happens
>The light passes through the mirrors in like a portal but she manages to shine it onto the suspicious one
>Just then, all reflections but one disappear for each of them, and it seems there's an exact copy of them stuck behind a mirror trying to escape
>Being cautious, they recall that the dolls from the shooting range might have something to do with this, so Watoto tickles his own and sees the one in the mirror laughing
>However, Tiara stabs her doll multiple times, but she is the one that gets seriously injured with 6 lethal damage
>Their perspective switches to the mirror people now, realizing that their real selves were trapped in here and are unable to determine when exactly the switch happened
>They also have dolls, and when tickled the ones on the outside are reacting as well
>Inside the mirror, a group effort is made to patch up Tiara to convert 2 lethal to bashing
>Tiara shines her flashlight into the mirror to the other side, and it appears to pass right through, and for a brief moment she appears to see the doppelgangers as sticks and stones
>Scout unravels her doll and sees her doppelganger's head fall off and turn into sticks, stones, and leaves, so the rest do the same
>The horrific sight tests their sanity and all of them make it through just fine, but Scout feels empowered and has her willpower restored
>Escaping through the mirror now, they can recall the memories of their doppelgangers and everything they did on the grounds
>The carnival grounds have stopped moving down the river, but now the ghosts are very angry and they hear Bertha in the distance
>They keep their flashlights trained on the ghosts and make their way over to her, where she explains that they must finish their work and perform the reversing ritual in the centre, which is the castle
>Returning to the castle after punching some ghosts, they find a ship they can use, but needs a wheel to operate
>A decorative wheel is spotted on top of the castle, so Scout crafts a grappling hook and scales her way up, but after retrieving it and descending she slips and takes 3 bashing damage
>Bertha draws a symbol with screaming chalk and uses the wheel to somehow redirect the carnival grounds along the river, but requires more magical power from a paradox
>The team brainstorms to use magic mirror fragments glued together to reflect light into the castle portals, creating an explosion of light in the air
>The carnival grounds begin to float upstream and the angry ghosts return to the castle

At the start it was utterly terrible.
Got better as time passed.
Expect a session with an average DM with 2 beginners, 1 person who don't understand what rpg are, don't know the rules, and seems more interested doing random shit than actually play and the one who actually plays TTRPG on a regular basis is a social autist.
