The Scandinavian languages are also Germanic, but unlike English, Dutch, and German, which are West Germanic, Scandinavian languages (descended from Old Norse) are North Germanic. There also used to be an East Germanic language branch but it went extinct. Post-modernist fags will try to convince you that English is just a bunch of world languages blended together but its foundation (grammar and basic words) is strongly Germanic in nature.
