How do 2views get even those 2-3 viewers? Imagine debuting to literal zero people watching and just talking to yourself. Or doing a Zatsudan and having 3 people in chat who don't even comment.
Is developing god-tier skills at APEX(or any other popular competitive game) the only way to make it as an indie?

Just think, there are probably thousands of 0 view debut streams out there just sitting on servers, where the person spent a lot of time anxiously preparing and talking to themselves, never to be seen. They probably spent the previous week constantly thinking about it, getting more and more nervous for the day. All that social media prep, vtuber design and rigging for nothing.

Indiefag here. 2views have specific hashtags on twitter to shill themselves, there's even people dedicated to support these indie chuubas. They also collab a lot, so if you watch at least one of them you can easily discover their friends. But yeah, it depends mostly on people looking for them.

Collabing, networking, and shilling yourself on social media. Part of why so many chuubas are willing to jump on the Apex wagon is that it's a great way to draw attention to yourself by competing with or teaming up with already popular chuubas.
