This has nothing to do with being cringe, though. She says that overt sexualization, which I think she personally overestimates, is the result of gamedevs being lazy or not knowing how to make an entertaining character.
And I agree. One-note characters are the worst. I hate characters who are in love with someone and all they think about and how they act is that one person. I hate characters who are defined by being gay or whatever.
