Even then Omega seems ESL from tweets - so talking purely in English seems to gear them more towards analyzing you by your voice tone, speech mannerisms etc than by precisely what you are saying. Gura, Ame, Fauna, Mumei, Kronii all have super fucking distinct voices and tone when talking. That is what Cover paid attention to with them if a bunch of the people at the table could only hear our pera-pera'ing at them and relying on choppy disjointed translation to communicate.
Rrat however could actually speak right-at them so they could analyze her more deeply in the same time span for an interview - there is no downtime translating back and forth. She can choose her words carefully to communicate her passion and understanding and so on. So it really is an edge. Doubtless this helped with Sana as well who speaks it pretty well. Her and Bae's gummed up thick English accents may not have even perceptibly been a big deal to mostly Japanese interviewers if they were talking in Japanese to begin with.
