I'm sure she had an idea for how things would go but it was honestly a bit cute how she hadn't done any reps at all for the game. Her mood definitely soured though, when you're fighting the controls along with the game then that's not fun at all. Luckily she cheered up a lot talking to chat. Had some talks about games, some good some bad, keep the good suggestions in mind and remember that when you are having fun so is the chat. Either approach games like that differently or play different ones entirely, whatever you enjoy will get that infectious passion of yours going and we'll all have a good time.

Seems like she's brand new to 3D games. I think picking up a controller will be helpful to her. Hopefully next time she'll test the games beforehand to catch audio or other issues. Nade, check >>12549156 out to see if your audio settings are correct in OBS. I also suspect that she's not wearing headphones while streaming which means she's missing out on a large portion of the experience when she plays games. I think playing some single player 3D platformers, like A Hat In Time, could be useful for her to train her 3D skills. She cheered up when she switched to chatting, which is nice. However I'm still confused about what she considers seiso because of some of the things she talked about.

As new IPs become rarer and rare, people will eventually know all the names of each others in the community
Some people will be able to recognize anons by their typing style and grammar
The rare newcomer will be instantly spotted and celebrated/mocked
Because it relies on one vtuber so far, a few others vtubers may be followed if Nadeshiko starts making friends, which will make a short list of /nade/ vtubers that are considered on-topic
To organize projects some people will actually make a discord but not post it in the thread, however one insider will leak it and create drama within the community
Eventually some badgers will consider becoming vtubers themselves since their name as artist or other is getting really known anyway

I'd guess it's the way it is like a chat server if multiple people are on it. It's like when holomembers go online and say hello to whoever is on, and then maybe talk more. People generally don't like that because it fosters another method of talking to the vtuber that's outside the norm of leaving comments or the stream chat.

Discord's bad points are that it's a semi-private or private platform for people to chat outside of a stream. They form cliques/inner circles. Minecraft fulfills those same criteria with it's chat functions.

It depends on what you are playing. People worry about minecraft because they worry about cliques and inner circles being formed which is one of the bad parts of discord.

Member only streams is not something that I'm opposed though, but first you would need to get enough members that would be worth streaming to.

Something like once a week/two weeks seems like a fine pace.

I think you are looking at it in the wrong way though. Obviously you need to stream the usual games but idol manager is one of those games. However you also need to stream games you want even if they might not be good stream games. My point Nina has streamed done 10 hour Darkset Dungeon games which are terrible stream games. But they were extremely entertaining to watch.

I just feel like Nade could turn that into a legendary series of videos on stream. Remember Nade vtubers are not gamers you are an entertainer.

Take care Nade. Do some game setup reps and think about what you like to play and can talk about while playing. You can love playing Touhou for example but if you need to concentrate and feel things will suffer if you try to stream it then keep it for yourself, while a game like Idol Manager that you can talk about AND play is a good choice.

Also consider getting some open back headphones (they have a mesh/grill on the outside rather than being completely solid). They will make you feel less closed off when you wear them so they could help you with your talking while wearing headphones problem. I think it's really unfortunate that you are missing out on a large portion of the gaming experience from not being able to hear them while you play. Also lots of games have audio queues as part of their game design, so not being able to hear them will just make the games way harder to play.

I know this has been said before, but part of the idol experience is supposed to be witnessing the growth of the idol, right? I don't see why that shouldn't be applied to games as well.
