>>12619245>>12619444The recruitment process is a logistic bitch, especially if conducted by such a small group of people for thousands of applicants. So cutting some corners would be a necessity.
At this stage of a recruitment process they obviously must've had a strict algorithm which let them reduce the number of applicant by at least two orders of magnitude. That's why they were so strict about the form of the video. They also managed to do it in a relatively short time, which supports this idea.
So if we assume what that guy says and what Froot says are both true, it could be they had a number of spots for male vtubers in mind (which is nothing bad by itself) and at some point in time they already had them filled in, so that's why the rest of male applicants were instantly filtered out.
But if that's the case, it begs a question what happened they got male spots filled in and stopped reviewing the rest of male vtubers, instead of waiting till they saw them all? I think someone must've showed up in the applications who they treated as a VIP (because e.g. he's a friend of them or is a big streamer) so they decided to instant accept them and dismissed the rest. It could also be something more trivial, like they found someone so good that they decided to fuck the rest, but I think they don't have so many male spots in mind and there are a lot of obvious male choices who are their friends.
But this all is problematic for a whole different reason. They obviously have friends who they wanna include who also wanna join (I know at least of Snuffy that talked about applying) and that's cool. But they also want new blood at the same time. And it seems they're using the same process for both. Which is where the main problem lies in.
Those processes of getting in should be separate. E.g. they should've a predetermined number of spots for friends/clout/raw_talent/males and treat them separately. But from what I've shown earlier, we can deduce they weren't.
They also want to debut only one person at a time, which wouldn't be such a big deal at first thought because they could just recruit a few people at once and put them in queue (like Froot and Hime), but that raises a problem of who should take precedence, and it could actually be a big deal because depending on number of people and time between debuts the last person would have to wait months for their turn, and a month is a long fucking time in streaming, especially vtubing. Which also means, they probably won't be recruiting too much people at once, I doubt it would be more than 3. The problem is, those three could be easily filled in mostly by their friends. And how many spots does it leave us for male vtubers?
