I've been a Nijinigger for some time now and I'm starting to realize that maybe Holobronies are right. I liked Nijisanji because they felt more chummy and like friends, but that's precisely the problem. They will never be your friends and any expectation of that is unhealthy. With Hololive there is kinda of a buffer between the chuubas and the audience since they are, a least somewhat, more of an idol company. That, and their popularity keeps them from being able to respond to viewers on a consistent basis. I think the realization that I will be nothing more than a string of text to them is making me want to pivot back to being a holobrony to better see chuubas as entertainers instead of parasocial friends.
