have you ever worked on something because of vtubers? art, video, music etc. chuubas seem to spark some creativity from people.

I mean... If you count drawing Vtubers as that, then sure I have, plenty of times. I've tried my hand at clipping and editing because of my oshi, I've drawn her dozens of times, I woke up early for a month or two to catch her endurance streams and wake up with her. But the art stuff is really just "If I didn't have her I'd still draw something else" so I'm not sure it counts.

I tried Japanese and learning to code reps. Then got lazy and dropped them as my interest in vtubers waned.

Probably gonna pick learning to code back up as a new year's resolution, although I'll be doing it for myself instead.

In the past year I've been drawing almost exclusively fanart of chuubas. It's like drawing fanart for an anime character with the huge difference that they can actually like your work and interact with it. Pretty fucking comfy and rewarding desu

I've drawn art and my oshi liked it, I've drawn other vtubers/JP streamers too and they've liked or retweeted me. I make clips on Twitter and webms/archives for /vt/.
My dream is to get my art as a thumbnail one day but I draw too slow.

If you're used to using after effect or toon boom, it'll only take 2 to 3 days to be proficient with live2D.
The demand for live2D rigger is pretty high at the moment, you could even ask for 1K for a shitty rig
