>yeah, let's just drop on each other's streams at random is all that there is for a sucessful "box pushing" operation.
Here is the thing: even within Hololive there are those that failed miserably to "get in the robot" and play their part on the whole box pushing thing, and failed as much as the rest of the other companies, and for the same reason
Here is one example: Aki.
There is a reason she lags in every possible metric: for external reasons outside of her control she missed some large "box pushing" arcs and then when she was finally back she made some wrong choices (like sticking with ARK when the meta moved to Minecraft) and she ended up as the "odd one out".
Mel, OTOH, missed some arcs. She was **almost** pivotal in the "PekoMoona arc" with one of the early memes out of it was Pekora calling her castle a "prison" but her general unavailability made her disappear right when everybody and their parrots inclined through Minecraft.
And yet she came back strong now in the late part of 2021 and is full blown onboard with everything that is propping the other girls up and her numbers show the improvement.
Box pushing is not just "one for all". It takes a deliberate strategy and enough "heavy hitters" to lift the smaller ones. That's what most other companies (including NijiEN) get wrong.
It's not "chemistry", it's not "group talent", it is stronger streamers giving the smaller ones a platform for them to shine AND the smaller ones taking the chance.
