I'm talking about the people who go "This is so EXPERIMENTAL and WEIRD the only way people would say they like it is if they're trying to sound smart and pretending". If it's complex enough to someone that they come to THAT conclusion they just sound like they don't know music well.
It's like people who call something like NGE pretentious (or deep, if they like it) when like, sure it uses metaphorical imagery and shit at times but it basically tells you the message it's conveying directly several times and the metaphors are super obtuse. It's not that complex, and people who act like it is (whether they like it or not) just sound like hacks.
