Probably the best thing about it is how widely expressive she manages to be, there aren't many that can match up to her in that respect, even if she isn't the best in a "technical" type of sense. There are a lot of vtubers who can do a competent cover, but hers are almost always have those satisfying differences in the kind of voice she chooses to use or the intonation or whatever that can become addictive to hear in themselves and make it feel less by the numbers.

Meli is my favorite member of Nijisanji and probably the second brightest star of the 2020 wave behind Chigusa (but that's not a totally fair comparison for Melissa). I hope you all will give a look at her debut partners, Ibrahim and Furen as well. They're an amazing trio.

Meli has a very interesting life story where she's been to anxious to be in public, even on trains. Meli is also very interesting because of her own stuff about her gender. She actually dislikes her original outfit for being too feminine and uses the second outfit now. She doesn't care what you call her since she doesn't really know what she is either, just that she's not really male or female.

I really love Meli.

Mel doesn't speak English and it's extremely trivial to avoid using gendered pronouns in Japanese. I imagine Mel's attitude towards pronouns would be different as an English speaker.

When in doubt, just use their name.
