Given that she seemed mentally prepared to rest on her laurels and go do something else with her life before hololive happened. She talked about herself in contrast to other people in her old circle who seemed determined to "make it" no matter what. That was then, and this is now, but it still demonstrates her mentality about the idea, not to mention how she writes for herself and she's admitted she doesn't see her music (outside of a few songs) being a good fit for mainstream play at all.
Then there's the vtuber thing, which may have been a buff from her old indie life into this one, but then becomes a debuff again when you're trying to break into mainstream. Obviously, the way to overcome that would be to move on from vtubing, but we know that's not happening any time soon. Even then, there's the question of the degree of fame she'd be reentering that world with. The only real precedent we have is Coco, and while she's still popular, she has nowhere near the same reach she had while still in hololive. It would probably take another few years on her own and even more extremely lucky breaks to get on Utada Hikaru's level, who should be emphasized as one of the most famous Japanese singers.
