Don't know if WoW is just as strict nowadays, but back in my day during WoW TBC in university, I was (together with a bunch of others) sitting on top of NPC to trick other faction players into clicking on us and get slaughtered by guards. All I got was a blue PM'ing me to get away, and when I jokingly replied that I loved the NPC too much, they appeared, moved my character and we joked around a bit on my chat. Some good fun ended as, well, good fun without escalating too much.
