Take Suisei because that's the one example where indie and holo are the same. Was she accepted because she is a good entertainer or a good singer? Both make you a good vtuber, neither require you to practice vtubing. You cannot point at some metric of her success (ccv, income, number of songs or streams, personal satisfaction) and say that it had nothing to do with her previously practice of talents.
You're pretty much arguing that a successful author of fiction books who gets a screenwriter job has never been successful at writing a story before, the audition process just magically made them good as a screenwriter.
