I'm sure it will for at least a few months for chubas trying to grow their audience, though I wonder if it will bring in the kind of money NA / EU does. Not a problem for me either way, I can understand enough spanish to get by if it does become prevalent.

They do get a viewer boost, even on their full JP streams you have a horde of spics using the chatbox to tell everybody they don't understand a word, or to argue about avocados.

Supa revenue seems to be largely unaffected.

It does seem like an untapped market for the most part. A bigger slice of a smaller pie for the streamer who can cater to Spanish speakers. Plus I can already kind of understand Spanish so I'd rather do Spanish reps than Japanese reps.

Also, some of the Spanish commenters are savvy to the fact that Japanese vvtubers are just baiting them. Some think there would be a payoff if the vtubers took the language seriously.
