I'm not gonna reply to that one anon but I'll mention another streamer since the discussion is relevant. A lot of people believe Jerma985's body is deteriorating simply because he's said so. He did a funny joke stream where he saw a doctor, but aside from anecdotes and the fact he always sounds like he's going to die after laughing... Well, his fans only have his word to go off of. So when he goes live and admits to having just smoked a lot of CBD, or takes up to two weeks off because "muh debilitating headaches" or god forbid delays a stream three times in a row, it causes rrats to be made.
What I'm trying to say is that it's good to be skeptical because, in a just world, we'd get an official doctor's note from these people so that there wouldn't be a disconnect. Is that parasocial? Indeed, almost to a gross degree, but if you're going to be so blunt with your audience as to say "I'm in pain. My life is misery. Here is a laundry list of ouchies I have." Then be prepared for some knowledgeable fans to question the legitimacy of your claims.
And it's not just chronic illnesses. Always be skeptical of people who complain of constant exhaustion, seasonal depression, and minor illnesses. You're never gonna have a Munchausen's situation on your hands nor should you expect that, but if everyone and their mother pretended to be sick to avoid school, I think it stands to reason they'd do the same for streaming.
