>>13139981>what tips would you give and what would you like to see from someone doing this?I will give a serious answer to this.
First off, make it extremely clear how much of it is real GFE and authentic feelings on your part. If it's an act, make it obvious to your chat that is an act from day one. There are ways you can phrase it so that chat agrees with you. Say for example that "sometimes kind lies like these are the best to help you get through your day" and do admit to it only being a character unrelated to the real thing if you're going to have a boyfriend and other things, if you do so chat will forgive you as long as you are upfront about these things. If you are going for full GFE, as in GFE where you actually view chat as your romantic partner, be prepared to go the full way and not betray chat. Choose one path or the other at the beginning: be upfront about it being a kind act for the audience, or that it's authentic feelings on your partner, don't waver between.
Next pieces of advice. Make sure to spread the love to all of chat and your followers. Don't get too close to any specific member or give too much preferential treatment to any specific person. Understand the weight of your viewers's feelings and respond appropriately, if somebody is gushing their heart out make sure to thank it genuinely even if all they can afford to donate is $20, don't just do thanks by dollar amounts because that sets a precedence of money = love that puts off some. If someone donates $5 a lot and then $100 one day, that's a time to make sure that $100 is special and properly celebrated, if you somehow get a viewer that regularly donates $100 their $100 is just the equivalent of that other chatter's $5 because they're rich, you don't need to give too much preferential treatment cause they'll probably stick around anyway. In the same way don't just retweet good fanart, retweet bad fanart made with soul as well, or at least like it. Make sure to respond to a bunch of viewers, not just the same few. It's really nice as a viewer to get a heart from your oshi on a comment or a twitter reply, and when it feels like anyone can get one it makes even better. Also keep things like tweet replies both somewhat frequent and somewhat scarce so that it always feel special to get one but you're still interacting with your fans a lot.
You're probably going to attract mentally ill people and people who've had a rough time in life, because those are typically the people who are going online to find GFE vtubers. You're not a therapist and probably can't give good advice, but you don't really need to. All they're looking for is that you love them and you'll be there for them even if they have nothing else. They just need one thing consistent in their life to rely on. You don't really need to do much more and they'll fall hard for you. Don't get too wrapped up in your viewer's mental problems, just give them a generic you'll always love them and be there for them, that's enough.
Next thing is that for GFE, the viewer's really like being able to help or participate with their oshi. Even if you don't really need help, asking for some slight suggestions or help for small stuff or opportunities for your audience to participate keeps them hooked. There's a real strong urge on the audience's part to protect/make their oshi happy. So let your audience do things to make you happy and tell them that it did make you happy.
A lot of viewers are just lonely and want someplace to be and someone to be with because they have nowhere else they belong, so you can provide that even without having to be entertaining all the time. Even if it's just something as simple eating together with a live 2d avatar. Also going on dates in google maps in random European countries is fun. Most of all try to enjoy yourself. If you do GFE and it ends up making your life worse, that's just all around bad for both you and the audience. Make sure to understand if you're prepared to go through with it after trying a couple streams. If not you can go to just being a regular streamer. But don't be a GFE streamer for one year and switch or vice vesra, it's off putting to your fans.
Anyway good luck if you actually do it.
