At the same time, I'm not entirely averted to some respectful exposure of the business, like what Kiara does. You should work within kayfabe whenever possible, but sometimes you just can't, especially with an autist-soaked fanbase like vtubers have.
tl;dr: Keep up the kayfabe when you can, but know when you can't and act appropriately, and don't be afraid to change your own lore where you can.
