>>13182089former holo-fan here, yeah it actually is. I've went from a guy who religiously follows myth to a guy who just checks out a few streams every now and again from my former oshi over there, just as a sign of respect for getting me into the medium.
Thing is ENHolos kinda feel too sanitized to the point that it even affects their interactions. I felt like i was watching a Slice of Life anime every time they went up. Sure , it's cute, and i was admittedly intoxicated to watch cute anime girls do cute things but this time live, but you know, over time, i'm aware that these are actually real people. After a while the magic just died for me and it kinda clicked to me that, yeah, maybe these interactions aren't really that genuine and slowly i lost interest in the group.
Enter me randomly clicking a Lazulight stream, flashbacks of me and my friends hanging out rushed before my brain. This. This is how actual people interact. This is how friends interact to be more specific. Myth feels like they're a group of friendly coworkers. I'm not saying they're not close, but yeah , they feel like they're constantly trying to thread a needle with every interaction because there's a looming fear that it's inappropriate or against the code.
NijiEN kinda fills that void they left that yeah, these are genuine interactions, these girls constantly go into stream overtime because they like talking to each other. They talk about random shit and aren't afraid to say things to one another.
I love hololive for getting me into the fandom, but yeah, at the end of the day, i want something more genuine to watch.
I know this isn't getting niji more clicks, but i'm glad there's a distinction between them though. This makes checking out both companies a different experience. And it just so happens i personally prefer the nijisanji experience over hololive En's.
