Explain to me why Uto would go through these lengths to avoid paying FIFTEEN fucking dollars.
They had a contract so she assumed Chii would get compensated. Contract doesn't go through for whatever reason and Chii isn't paid.
Uto likely didn't know about it until Chii brought it up to her literal MONTHS later.
Chii asks about payment so Uto probably went and asked about the contract only to find out it didn't go through
then she tells that to Chii and immediately offers to pay out of her own pocket AND lets Chii name his own price.
fifteen fucking dollars. He gets paid and still has a meltdown on Twitter.
Even if Uto DID know about the contract not going through, she could have still reasonably assumed he was paid since she still received the illustration, because why would an artist work for free?
