I'm playing SMT V at a snail's pace, but I'm only in the second map after what Kiara and Yura streamed and it gets so much better.

Agreed with up to Hydra. Hydra is definitely the wake-up call boss of the game (Like Matador and Minotaur) and showcases that SMT games don't take no shit and will throw roadblocks you have to figure out how to cheese the system to win sometimes.
