>>13317491>Because of the above and fostering this weird half-assed gachi atmosphere, there's a real possibility that the girl's would lose some of their whales when the inevitable collab with the male wave happens. This could've been avoided if they actually filetered this types of fans from the get go.The only one with a very significant % of whales is Finana. They have collabed with and mentioned men since the beginning and anyone scared of men is already gone. The number and % of gachis who care about having 100% purity is very, very small - a real relationship will hurt, but interactions in big collabs are more than fine. 1-on-1 may hurt but that is entirely optional and the dynamic they have matters a lot in that.
>Debut format1 hour debuts suck. 20-25 minutes is short but enough to get a feel, and if you're watching a relay you can just tune out for anyone you can't stand without wasting an hour+ waiting. Intro 2.0's are an okay ice breaker and allow for a more in-depth introduction for people who were interested in them. The hosting is weird but fine, mobile watchers will close the hosting and go to the debuts.
>More freedom>Hard ban on dono readings and watchalongs for a monthDono readings are fine as long as it's not the first or second real stream. They are an "industry standard". I agree on watchalongs though, it's bad content very few people want to watch without prior investment into the streamer or media, but a shorter ban or even just heavy disencouragement is enough in the spirit of freedom.
>Recruit outside of the current crop of indiesNina's PL was a vtuber, just one who used to be an IRL streamer and wasn't woven into the circles many of the others are from. Petra wasn't an indie vtuber and Finana was pre-debut, those are wave 1 and 2's wild cards since the others had recent experience. They might not have gotten many auditions from non-vtubers who weren't people with 0 content creation experience and were capable of streaming as much as nijiEN does. It's possible the pool of people who auditioned with 1) some content creation experience and 2) the ability to provide content 5+ days a week is not very big.
