Once I started watching hololive a bit after Gen 4 debuted during the JSL coco times, I wasn't that much into it until I found chammers like aonth after that.
Slowly but steadily she became my oshi and the only one I care about and so I stopped skipping ANY of her streams, it was and still is the top priority in my day to day schedule.
And you know what I did? I gathered my friends and told them right in their faces that I have this cute anime virtual girl that I'm absolutely enamored by and I will never, under any circumstances will I ever put any of my plans to go out with any of you over her stream.
They wondered what the fuck I was on about and I just showed them a clip saying "this is what I watch and this is what she does" they totally understood that, they didn't get why I was so fucking in love with her but they understood that I did.
They will ask me if I'm free at x o'clock and if I am then bless, if I'm not they'll just understand that it's a stream.
Bottom line is, you have to ask yourself WHY do you need to explain what hololive is to these people, will it affect your social relationships? Or are they just curious? After that you'll have to know why you like hololive because that is always a great place to start with when you're explaining something to someone.
And fuck your meds.
