Is this company really successful enough to be debuting more of them already? The only one that's even been monetized so far is moona's sister.

I mean, not as if Hololive is any more innocent since you know that the earlier days they were grabbing designs and leeching off Kizuna and Nijisanji. Everything in life is leeching. You leech of your parents, then your kids if you every have any leech of you and then you’ll probably leech off them once you get too old and worthless or the government. Those that dont leech tend to die and fade into obscurity cause they don’t have a direct line of survival. Hell, history itself is nothing if not leeching.

What's the point of a Japanese company with no prior experience diving headfirst into exporting to the English market? Is there really not enough space/talent in Japanese? Or is it actually a *Japanese* company run by a bunch of weebs?

Money. They want those HoloEN/Uto/Pikamee bux. Also I don't really think there's any space left in the japanese market to be honest, so it's not a horrible gambit.

The weird thing is that all of their talents clearly live in japan based on stream times, which aren't very conductive to a western audience. I'm not quite sure what they're thinking there.

The Japanese market is oversaturated, there are like 10,000 vtubers trying to fight over the same viewers. The English market is still relatively new but its quickly become inundated with western indies, HoloEN (with future gens incoming), and VShojo. Some companies/ indies have decided to pander to the Spanish market in an effort to find any viewership.

I noticed a handful of small-time indies have been switching their english-learning streams to spanish-learning lately.

The problem is that it's all surface level. Many don't really learn anything aside from a couple of words you'd find past the first chapter in an elementary-level textbook and ultimately just rely on google translate to say anything other than hi or bye.
