I don't think a Japanese person could fake that accent. She's probably really used to hearing English spoken in that accent from her family so it's just how she knows how to speak it. I don't think that's uncommon either; I had a cousin who spoke with an English accent despite being American while we were growing up because her mom was from England and she naturally just picked it up from her mom.
