>>13886358Maybe he had been saying something stupid like vtubers are declining period thus Council is not actually doing bad, and to wait and see how Holox does the same or worse.
And/or, the idea of padding out the debuts/intros of Council was his idea and he banked everything on it, while the instant reveal+debut approach on X proved that a long build up truly does not matter nor do lore hype videos. Think about it, where is lore in Council now? Anywhere? Sana's astrology streams maybe? Mumei at least wanted to do civilization-y stuff but that got completely curbstomped by management, I fucking hope they had at least a grain of self awareness in that process of crushing lore actually being relevant in any way.
Also don't give me that "holox is lore heavy" shit, no they fucking are not. Read Chloe's description as a cold, badass kuudere/tsun assassin and go watch her debut. It's like she didn't even read what her setting was supposed to be and played into her natural strengths of being unbelievably adorable, and immediately gained almost 200k subs in a single day. Playing into your real natural strengths works, not forcing some poor girl like Bae to be chaotic mischief when she just is some normal chill person in reality and it shows painfully hard.
