I assume the real source of controversy is that other thots on YouTube and Twitch are rabidly territorial, and that's who her antis probably are. It's sort of like how a malicious cabal of twitch thots got together to destroy saynotorage's reputation, incite a full on orchestrated brigade against him, and have one of their husband's who's a dev for the game he plays DEVBAN HIM FOR LIFE without him even breaking the game's TOS all so that his wife could benefit from increased publicity and decreased competition on the platform. Why? Because they were jealous of his success, couldn't compete on their merits, and decided to use dirty tricks to destroy a competitor instead.
This is everything wrong with mainstream social media platforms now. They used to be good old boys' clubs until they got popular and attracted thots. Subsequently, any platform that allows women any power or voice invariably attracted a cabal of mean girls who use any means necessary to destroy competition and dominate the space unless they're literally beaten back into the kitchen with aluminum bats. Cue deergirl trying to be a female streamer who's not part of the clique. The only people who could possibly hate this literal who are either competing female content creators seething with envy that she has even one subscriber, and/or the men who virtue signal in an attempt to win favor with m'lady. These neo white knights aren't even the neckbeards of yesterday. This is literally what passes for normal socially acceptable male behavior on the modern internet and as a man I'm real tired of being shamed by proxy.
It also needs to be said that unlike vtweeters, deer's actually creating content, taking chances, and trying to find success while navigating the hostile modern streaming ecosystem. That alone makes her more respectable than the "ABLOOBLOOBLOO I CAN'T MAKE CONTENT BECAUSE MY MODEL'S NOT DONE" crowdor her the antis who only ever destroy instead of building something better. It's not about being perfect right out of the gate. It's about learning, growing and getting experience as time goes by. Nobody's a master of their craft before ever achieving anything. Whatever her faults, at least she had the pair to put herself out there and make an effort. Honestly, I don't even care either way except for this being yet another example of cancel culture bullshit.
