Id like to see a Vtuber get addicted to Isaac, the trouble is that its takes a long time to become even competent at the game (probably a few months of streaming it just to get a handle on base Rebirth) and as much as backseating is frowned upon Isaac is the kind of game where a bit of it is not only acceptable (imo) but also necessary to actually improve at the game. Even people who've played for hundreds or thousands of hours sometimes need to look up what the fuck some items and shit do. Unfortunately I really cant think of any Vtuber who could go the distance with the game.

Unless Hololive has gone ultra purist, I doubt it's because of the themes, I would guess it's because it's a roguelike and hard. (I think Korone toke 7 hours to just beat mum)

Wish Mori would play though, always felt it would be fitting.

The theme is RELIGION anon, of course it's really yab. The shit you see in GTA5 can be seen in any Holywood action movie or whatever, the stuff in Isaac is actually fucked up.

Nina considered it (because she loves roguelites), but IIRC I think she said she was never able to get into it because of the grossness.
And like, you kinda forget after playing it for a long time, but that's honestly fair.

There is a lot of poop and the themes at least in the original flash version I played weren't exactly nuanced, but the game is still pretty damn fun.

Original was still nuanced it isn't "le Christianity bad" anyway, it's shitting on families who push it on their children and give them hellfire paranoia. I'd say the remake is less grotesque only because it got turned into cute pixels.
