Never really watched Pekora or Gura aside from clips but it's not like their fans appeared out of nowhere, people flock to things that are easy to consume. You can say it's a good or bad thing but I believe it's hard to make content that doesn't filter many people, where you can just jump into a stream and laugh at antics. Also, he's quite good at reading a big chat. Greyname or 5 dollar superchats or anything that isn't just lol reacts gets picked out.
