>>1581129Because it's awkward and not in a fun way. Half of it is Subaru nervously laughing or asking "TOWA DAIJOBU?!", it's like they're unable to just talk like human beings. Partially because Towa doesn't really behave like a human being. She also completely lacks tact, the opposite of Subaru, so her jokes end up very one-sided, to the point of Towa having to spell out she doesn't mean to be rude even if she seem like it and the jokes are mostly prepared beforehand. In other words Subaru interacting with Towa is like poking a rabid racoon with a short stick as a challenge on camera.
