I say this as some one who knows Mandarin, there's fuck all cultural exports from the Mainland.
The Film industry is worse than India's. That's not a joke. I have seen more films from the Indians subcontinent that I'd be willing to watch again than I have from Mainland China. The animations are pretty subpar as well.
Almost all of its music is a second rate copy of something that exists somewhere else. C pop is just like Idol pop anywhere else in Asia without the creativity and sovl of J pop, or the mirror sheen polish that K Pop has. And because the government doesn't like anything rebellious it doesn't have anything like Norwegian Black Metal or Irish Shoegaze to save an otherwise uninteresting music scene. The only real music it has unique to it is Chinese Classical, and for some fucking reason it has a Country scene.

Yeah, Gatchas. Games like Genshin and Honkai.
"What about books?"
All the books worth reading already have English translations. Modern Chinese fiction is incredibly bland, and like the rest of its modern culture is largely a shallow copy of something in the west. You could read Chinese off brand Harry Potter, but why not just read the original?

If you're going to learn an East Asian language, learn Korean, Cantonese or Japanese. India has pretty good food, kabaddi, and despite the absolute joke that is Bollywood, the Indian film industry does put a surprising amount of genuinely good films.
