Before Hololive boom Mito did as she pleased but recently she just started to do more stuff off-stream related to company.
What it led to? Her losing her status not only in the market but also in the company to Kuzuha whose content is not even the shadow of what Mito and even other Nijis do.
But also, you definetely don't know this, but Kuzuha was transfered to Nijisanji from his indie days, like Suisei with Hololive, So he brought his audience and drew new ones to Nijisanji by doing his half-assed content so the higher ups were like "why fix something that is not broken".
However, the rrat is that Kuzuha has connections with Sony which that would explain why Nijis had more games perms than Holos post Holocaust but also why management let him do whatever he wants.
