Chat is a different beast though. To some extent it is in character for us to regurgitate the same responses because we're supposed to be one husband, a hivemind. Practically speaking though, when we're all watching the same thing it is reasonable that we will have the same response. When Kiki does something cute we say "cute", when she tells us she loves us we say "I love you too". It would be pretty schizo to reply with a philosophical dissertation in that situation. I also think it lessens anxiety to copy what other regulars say, so that is the cost we pay for the transition from lurker to chatter. Beyond all that, the regulars consciously post at least something low-effort just so Kiki knows we're engaged and not bored. For all these reasons and probably more chat is to be expected to be mostly comprised of canned responses and it's working as intended.
