Hololive were the original vtuber idol group, and the others agencies and indies are just trying to copy, but end up becoming a VWhores instead.

It's true that there are also some VWhores in hololive, but you can simply choose not to watch those ones.

If you don't want require the whole idol thing, vtubers outside of hololive tend to have a better variety of games they play and potentially better collabs. There's just higher variety in general due to less restrictions.

Also smaller streamers are able to interact with their chat better.

The reason why people say that is because they have traveled out of Hololive and found one or more vtubers that resonated more with them than any of the Holocast. If there is a Holo girl that grooves with you that's fine, but there is a large amount of vtubers to experiment with, and that's only accounting for corpos and not the plethora of indies as well.

Ina is the most idol-like in myth, but I'm not even sure she cares enough about that kind of stuff to put in the work
Irys is not part of myth but she's the only EN who could be included in the idol sphere

With the wide variety of vtubers out there, you can surely find one that resonated more with you. Also when Hololive does content that you're bored with, you can watch someone else and have fun rather than complain about it on /vt/.
