Being the first ones in is an advantage all its own, and very often a decisive one for whoever makes the first big win.

I am not concerned with this as "next ones won't be as good", they just don't have the advantage of scoring on uncharted waters.

More specifically on the council hate, i'm having fun with some of them. So long they stay profitable Cover has no reason to ax them.

And on profit... ROI over new gens is always faster than ROI on the first gen. Starting Myth up was a greater undertaking by definition.

Those models and riggings don't exactly cost 50 bucks. Those pre-debut salaries don't come out of nowhere, and their cut is consistently drained by the salaries of the talents and their managers.

For Myth vs Council, specifically, Myth had to tread new ground on the managerial side. Different expertise requisites on language, on target audience, on whatever legal bullshit is needed to pay them. Discovering what these differences demanded is costly.

When Council came about, they already had the expertise on setting Myth up. The hiring offers for managers was already established. The legal connections were mostly already there.
