>>14444798Not them, but Battlepasses, Cosmetics, the reason for no playlists is to unironically sell challenge swaps since you can't queue into the "this type of gamemode for the challenge" thing you need.
It's hardly free, though. 60$ for the STANDALONE campaign, and then a "Free" Multiplayer, with ridiculously priced cosmetics. But you can earn some for free, they say, but not a ton, or it's unbelievably slow.
Compared to, say Halo 3. 60$, but you got the Campaign, Multiplayer, customizable emblems, tags, full color change right out the box. All armor unlockable via gameplay challenges, tons of playlists.
Halo Infinite? A few color choices, armor "cores" causing you to only be able to use a limited amount of pieces of unique armor on that core, which aren't available on others. Want a specific color for your armor? Well, it's a palette... and just for that one core, at 8$. Oh look, some interesting armor set! A mere 20$. Want a flower for your helmet? 15$.
So we have far less customization options for emblems/etc, a lot more locked down customization system, all to further monetize the system, and extract every penny they can from their customers.
TL;DR Kikery of the highest caliber.
