Only sololive is worth that much attention. 3d event isn't happening until her birthday and like you said it's too early for that. Looking at her past history I seriously doubt any collab will get that treatment.

The models aren't that high end as far as rigging and accessories are concerned, even if some have 1 expensive accessory, like the birds and mask expressions.
Cover probably pays top dollar to artists and riggers but even then, they're all probably way less than 10k$. Max 50k$.
Add to that the 1 iphone Xyz they each get, hiring and paying for managers and some level of training leading up to their debut and other extra expenses would mean they spent... i don't know how much.
If it's a mid level job for Japan tho, then that's 2-4k$ per month including all the taxes they pay to the government, but probably way less than 159k$.
Cover should already be way in the green and making a profit off of Gen6

Just for perspective based on cdjapan rankings and sales data for some albums release around the same time Suisei alone sold at absolutely minimum 11k plushies at around 35 bucks each. So just suisei sold around 400k worth of merch. And she was one of 30+ Coco, Pekora, Marine, Korone all sold well too. Hard to know with EN but printing tshirts at anything less than 10k is barely worth retooling for orders, so even Kiara’s KFP tshirt which had the lowest price point sold out was a tidy 350k revenue. Merch and sponsorships are worth a lot especially as a vtuber matures. Just good for thought

"vtuber" is not a trend, its a medium. It is no different from a televised puppet show, but online and with a different type of "strings" controlling the avatar.

Much like Sesame Street and the Muppets last to this day while Topo Giggio more or less disappeared (all having appeared more or less in the mid sixties) there will be characters from our generation of vtubers lingering around 40 years from now while others will disappear.

But unless the technology GREATLY surpasses what there is today (meaning real VR, with imersion that can be confused for the real thing) I don't think provinding a voice and animating an avatar will ever disappear

she's just extending the SC readings post main game.

Arguably even those could be called Haachama specials, though Gen6 is way more consistent.

In the Korone stream, Chloe still had a 5-6k average for 2 hours after starting SC. Not by that much but overall a lot more eyes on her, who might not have clicked on a SC reading stream and might end up donating.

yeah the twitch argument is mostly for non corpo affiliated en vtubers vtubers who are still starting up, most because that's how the streaming culture in the west works. Pretty much all the major EN vtubers (Nyanners, Saruei, Amalee) stream on twitch, and I've yet to hear of a major successful envtuber who stayed on youtube streaming.

Here is how it goes
1) small clique of administrators and small clique of "power users" prop each other up in a "virtuous cycle" of growth: power users get more "power", administrators get more fame by hanging out with the celebrities of their platform
2) Lots of unwritten rules about how the site operates, with admins enforcing the desires of their elected ones
3) Anything that threatens this "equilibrium" gets nerfed through the use of previously unwritten rules that become written, and through selective enforcement
You don't need to go as far away as Twitter, for instance, to understand that.

It would take one week of japanese vtubers dominating the front page / most viewed on Twitch and they would quickly create a ghetto similar to the "hot tub" one to throw japanese vtubers and vtubers from japanese companies

Twitch has a lot better features and is a more focused on streamer-viewer interaction, and viewer-viewer interaction compared to youtube. It has a much better chat system which doesn't randomly hide messages from some people.

It literally forces new viewers to read and accept rules before they can chat, and moderators get rid of trolls and spammers quickly instead of just telling the viewers to "ignore, block and report" trolls (e.g. cope and deal with it).

The best feature youtube has over twitch that I can think of is monetised VODs with comments on videos.

However, twitch culture would be problematic because it is pretty much unheard of for conversations between viewers to be banned by a streamer (this is something that only japanese streamers invented it seems).

Gura is basically Mito, they even have the same aversion to numbers. Mito admitted that when she suddenly exploded in popularity she would usually throw up in the bathroom prior to streaming because she was so nervous about the big audience she got. And both had a solid cast behind them (Mito had JKGumi and Toya, Gura has Myth). They also are so far above the competition (For Niji at the time anyway) that it isn't even funny. NijiJP basically had sole dominion over JP once Gamebu and .Live died due to controversy.

I kinda agree with this too. Basically, a solid but rather distant 3rd in the market. They're not exactly idol-like but most of HoloJp weren't anything like what they are now either. It's the reason why most people call NijiEN Hololive-lite (sometimes VShoujo-lite too). Unfortunately, I don't think NijiEN will ever be able to reverse or even be in a position to threaten HoloEN's standing for a few reasons

Sora was never the most popular chuuba even back in her heyday but she was a model that everyone could look up to. And FBK is arguably Yagoo's best hire ever. Friend basically got gamer's into Hololive and was the main driver for Hololive's initial popularity. She's basically what Elira would be if Elira was at least Bora-tier popular within the company and all her Nepo hires actually worked out . And the fact that she remained level-headed and basically initiated the first steps in Holo's box-pushing strat is the cherry on top (the reverse of Selen's viewership blackhole). NijiEN really needed to get their first wave hires perfect and I can honestly say that they missed badly. It's not that Lazu and Obsydia are bad hires. It's just that they're hires that should have happened AFTER a strong Wave 1 made it's mark.

It’s not impossible but there is no indication whatsoever that it would be Waves 1, 2 or 3 from Nijisanji EN.

Based on how Nijisanji operates their foreign branches there is a bigger chance they would just release waves after waves looking for the “golden goose” (diluting every preceding one)

FBK getting hired anytime after Gen 3 not only would delay (or outright delete) gamers from existing, but would also rob her of her Senpai authority which means she has less power to stir the culture of the company. A dangerous thought of mine is if we switch Myth and Council. Or having Irys as daisenpai. But I think Irys will be fine, she gives me the strong Myth vibe, and since Cover announced the audition at November which is close to Myth's debut, makes her looks like a side project of 1st gen, even the official art of EN placed Irys with Myth despite only a month early to Council.

At the very least, her latest tweet made a banger(20k likes/5,5k retweets within 8 hours). I went to check with a clean secondary account and she was the first appearing in the Virtual Youtuber recommendations, also Kiara, Koyori, Botan either liked, retweeted or commented under it, so she's fine regarding Tweeter and the stream's potential visibility. I can safely guess around 50k for the announcement, if not more, so that'll likely hype everyone up for later on in the month or maybe at the start of next year if the event happens at that moment.
Usual 30/35k+ much more visibility on Twitter than usual, you can guess at least that much.
