Twitch recommended channels are always live channels which is critical but also very accurate now I always only get recommended other vtubers who stream similar stuff that I like.
On top of it raids are critical and always welcomed and 99% of the time made within similar numbers, it works very well and many vtubers search for other to raids to create new links.
On top of it random sub gifts often end up on people who didn't watch before or just followed and actually work to advertise a stream.
Emotes working in other channel has proven to be another way to get people to check out your page if your emotes are good and stand out.
And finally, Twitch has a much larger live audience and many people use Categories which are lackluster on Youtube and hidden. On t witch you can discover new channels easily trough categories of games and tags, I found many speed-runners that way when I was into that.
Youtube is just garbage on all of t his and acknowledged it saying they wanted to work on this for their future overhaul.
