On one hand you have people who criticized Kiara because Mori wasn't as into it. On the other hand, you have people bashing Mori because she wasn't cool enough to go along. So they had a talk. Kiara moved and the ship sank. I really think they are good friends based on the things they say about each other and how frequently they hung out irl. But seriously, I feel like Kiara is not the kind of person Mori really looks for as friend, so their friendship is actually something rare, sort of.
