Hololive skewed the expectations of what a vtuber should be and now all other groups try to follow their steps or become something completely different which never works (almost since Vshojo exists I guess).
But there's no reference for males, despite what Nijifags want you to believe their JP branch is unknown by a good part of the vtuber fandom, so males try to copy the idol image.
What the industry needs is these retards to realize NOBODY wants males that ACT like idols, even in Japan the top males are all streamers that happen to do idol-ish stuff from time to time.
What everyone wants in males isn't acting cute, clumsy or being hehe xd funny, guys cannot be carried by pandering to lonely losers with minimal effort like females.
They HAVE to be entertaining.
They NEED a special skill or talent.
They MUST have the conviction to stand out from the crowd and be popular not because they're a vtuber or male, but because they're actually entertaining to watch.
