>>14836686Popular enough chink vtubers have their own generals (hakos/selen), while even some well known nips have merged generals due to a lack of sufficient interest in single chubas. There was also a Korean chuba group thread that got ignored and completely fell off. Popularity equates to thread livability, and no other slanty eyed rune-speaking nation is any better off.
It needs to be said that the non English speaking chubas from Niji and Hololive only really have threads because they're two of the most globally well known companies, while many nip agencies and chubas fall by the wayside. Cultural relevance in the western scene is the ultimate deciding factor, and china's isolationist interweb policies don't exactly help them integrate into global online culture.
That doesn't mean Taiwan or hong Kong have it any easier though, as the language barrier will always be the be all end all filter, and with Chinese it's the worst due to not having any sort of furigana style phonetic alphabet to even help ease people into their moon runes. Yes, I know Taiwan technically does, but it's so niche and never really mentioned in weeaboo circles that it might as well not exist compared to kana and hangul.
tldr blaming western nationalism or racism is a cope when in fact there's actually a number of EOP unfriendly factors at play restricting chinktubers' growth in the global vtubing market
