The personality must match or compliment the design. otherwise you'd not be simping for the popular corporate vtuber girls as much as you do & rather some rando indie nobody has heard of.
Just because one design is the standard of beauty doesn't mean that women aren't appealed to others as well. It only means one is seen as a universal middle ground of base appeal.
