You think Holostars EN is likely to happen in the future? and if so:
Would it be more popular than any current Holostar member?

They did an audition a year ago where they accepted guys too, I wonder if Cover picked some guys for a future debut then or just didn't care to make a new EN gen with guys.

At best I expect HoloID numbers as a start. It depends on their effort.
They would have a chance if they learn from their mistakes in handling starsjp.
1. Go for shounen designs. I'm a fujo trust me on this one. Shounen design is not a debuff for female fans. I personally want a chuuba that looked like Zoro
2. Toxic banters should be allowed (starsjp is too sterile compared to nijijp)
3.ditch the idol image. I like edgier image, rock, metal, hip hop music.
4. Scout music producers as talents, or at least someone like Mori, they could help HoloEn girls for mixing, music production, etc.
5. Fraternity image, boys don't need girls. I like boy x boy collab and teetee better than mixed gender.
6. Make their sexuality ambiguous. If he's gay I can't gosling him. If he's straight I can't ship him with other males. Best would be Bi, but lying about their sexuality is no no for me. Actual gays are not that appealing to me as a yumefujo, since I can't have my cuck fantasies
That's all I can think of now.

Miyabi specifically said that the #1 reason Holostars EN would or wouldn't happen is because of quality and interest of applicants, as well as the willingness of existing Cover staff to pick up the project and carry it to fruition. There's interest within the company, so that means the main holdup with a Holostars EN is that there aren't enough males (or at least not enough well-qualified males) applying to catch the interest of the higher-ups.
Roberu and Oga have made more abbreviated comments on it that basically were "it's probably not happening anytime soon, if ever".

But this is a bait thread made by some shitposter that probably doesn't even know what a vtuber actually is, so this common knowledge is probably completely over your head.

The best way about it is too expect to not even be allowed to speak to them off stream. That wouldn't happen because it's worse than the jp guys, but if you expect that and get more you won't be disappointed. Plus, you can make friends with the niji's and indies, if you filter the indies enough to get ones that aren't political or suffer from Twitch syndrome. You should just try to make your own content interesting instead of allowing yourself to stagnate on collabs though.

That said, I don't know how to feel about a starsEN as someone who watches the jp branch. It will depend on how they manage it. If they allow collabs with the girls right off the bat I'd be mad though. I'd want them to cement themselves as their own thing and hopefully work on a feeling of gen unity rather than try to pander to the girls audience to snag some easy subs. Doing something like that would demonstrate they don't care about the actual job, or content creation and care more about the numbers than anything else, a very poor fit for the stars which give off a very "bros" image. The best way to handle it is to just get a bunch of dumbasses with fun personalities that lend themselves well to getting along with others, and loose them to do whatever.

I do wonder what they'd do with the inevitable minecraft server though. Would they try to give them their own and link with the jp server, let them play in the JP one, or what?

You mean after the collab ban? Why can't they develop a feeling of gen unity and interact with the 11 other EN members (possibly more depending when they debut if it ever happens) at the same time? It looks like you want them to suffer the same kind of isolationist policy the JP side had when they debuted, and it'll be even worse for a StarsEN because they don't really have a great pool of quality indies/small company chuubas to collab with (hopefully by the time it happens Omecunt or whoever manages EN drops the NijiEN ban).

The soft collab ban only works for JP because there's an entire industry of vtubers they can freely collab with. Given EN's extreme restriction of inter-company collabs I don't see them getting the nijimale or indie contacts to thrive so it would go stale quick

I'm imagining my perfect world where they all have amazing chemistry together and almost all seem like old friends, but I recognize that's probably less than likely so they'd have to change things. More than anything I just want them to feel like "holostars" rather than a generation of "hololiveEN but with men". Being closer in peoples minds to hololiveEN than to their own senpai would seem kind of lame to me, so however they manage to do that would be fine by me. I don't agree at all with your statement. Cover has been known for trying to muscle into markets because Niji did it. There's an official hololive India twitter account asking for help getting into the market from when niji tried to do an india branch. Of course they backed the fuck off when they saw how that went for nijisanji. The only way Cover would try to do a Holostars EN is if Nijisanji had successful EN male chuubas. At the moment it's looking like Nijisanji hit a small goldmine. I don't buy the "there weren't any good male talents" excuse that's been put out, they never had any intention of doing holostars EN because they figured cute girls doing cute things is a safer bet because of how badly they bungled holostars. If guys like Vox continue to grow they'll probably seriously start to consider doing Holostars EN. If they actually commit to doing it is a different story because it'll be another large investment that won't be as profitable as shitting out hololive EN 3 Fartsniffers. I'd bet it would be around Holo ID/Stars JP numbers though in terms of actual profit. They'd probably be around NijiEN numbers subscriber wise.

The NijiJP males could collab with the female members Day 1 and now Kuzuha is currently the most subbed member of them and most watched Vtuber, and some of the best performing talents of the whole group are also guys, so I don't think a StarsEN collabing with HoloEN will make them less unique.

Maybe not the worst idea, though it may still come off as idol shit or female focused. Debuting one guy is a risk, all your eggs in one basket. Maybe a gen of generally musically talented guys, like I'd watch someone who talked about mixing or could play an instrument real good. You can get the musical aspect there without it feeling a certain way.

The Stars are free to make as many friends as they want, many of them are regularly collabing with indies or Niji girls.
But you can't force the Hololive girls to collab with them if they aren't interested in that in the first place.
The few exceptions being Fubuki, Matsuri, Choco and in a lesser extent, Roboco. (the ID girls, too)
Also, your intent on collabing with the girls would be the reason why you'd never be accepted in the first place.

Mixed gender collabs are borefest most of the time. Females would act more mild mannered around males, letting the males steal all the spotlights, OR act like simps toward the males, there is no in-between. Meanwhile, the males would be pretty restricted about what they could say in collabs. I think there is a problem there though. Anyone going in would expect to be part of the EN ecosystem, both fans and potentially the talent. A lot of western fans don't even understand why holos are kinda different and see it on the same level as anitubers. If none of them collab/kinda ignore that'll look bad. If one collabs and the rest ignores that'll cause endless drama.

Holostars are not the same as Hololive.
This is probably just another reason that HolostarsEN will never exist. Lots of EN fans can only see them as male Hololive when the groups act very different from each other.

I just don't see it happening anon. This isn't like Nijisanji where they've been easing the audiences into it, if Cover were to do it now it'd be a really awkward fit and actually piss off possible gachikoi considering the company's predominant focus on females.
Plus there was incentive to start HoloEN because there was a huge demand for it. Not only is there probably not a huge demand for Holostars EN, the existing Stars make it sound like they don't even want there to be a new gen at all.

No there wasn't. Late 2019 Hololive fanbase was barely existent in the West; Cover took a huge gamble in even creating the branch and got lucky that the pandemic happened.

I remember some of them mentioning this, the group is so tight nit at this point that they'd feel awkward having someone new introduced at this point after all of them built up the stars from being 2 views together.
